Cut and Sew Manufacturing

AB&L is a cut and sew manufacturer: What is "cut and sew" manufacturing? At its most basic level, this means we supply labor and equipment for a sewing project. The customer provides design information, which we analyze and determine pricing structures for the labor component of the project. Our strength lies in production manufacturing, and obviously the larger the quantities ordered, the better pricing we can supply. We gain efficiencies in production quantities that cannot be achieved in small manufacturing runs. Because of this, the price for low quantities is usually significantly higher than for larger runs.

What is considered a "small run", and what are "production quantities"? That is really impossible to generalize. Each project is unique - some products may require quantities of thousands of pieces a week to gain maximum efficency, while others may be able to sustain production rates with orders of 100 items per week. Since each case is so individualized, prospective customers are asked to contact us for personalized quoting.

An advantage of dealing with a cut and sew manufacturer is that an entire layer of markup is eliminated, reducing your cost. Further, by dealing directly with the fabric suppliers, you are better able to directly control the materials that go into your project.
